New Ulster County Public Service Launched for Voters
Ulster Strong launched a new public service initiative, Ulster Elections 2023, to engage and educate Ulster County residents of the upcoming primary election on June 27th. The campaign, titled Ulster - What’s the Plan? invites county voters to learn who is running in competitive local races, and shares information about the candidates positions on key local issues. The public service campaign will run in local print, digital, and social media.
The initiative includes a questionnaire sent to local candidates in competitive races at the county and town level. In addition, a website was launched, www.ulsterelections2023.com, that showcases an easy-to-follow listing of all local competitive races in Ulster in the June 27th primary, as well as provides maps of local voting districts to assist voters. Notably, the site provides candidates’ unedited responses to Ulster Strong's questionnaire that covers a range of topics including housing, economic development, environment, jobs, infrastructure and more.
The campaign’s goal is to encourage greater awareness about the upcoming election, bring attention to critical local issues, and provide unfiltered access to candidate’s positions on important economic and development concerns.
